My Morning Routine for a Productive and Positive Day

There’s something powerful about starting your day with intention—and for me, that starts the moment my feet hit the floor. Whether it’s a work day or a slower morning at home, my routine is built around faith, movement, and being fully present for myself and my family.
I’m an early riser by nature and choice, and while 4:15 AM might sound a little crazy to some, it’s honestly one of my favorite parts of the day. It sets the tone for everything that follows. Here’s a peek into what my mornings look like, and why they help me stay energized, focused, and grounded.
Starting with Prayer + Purpose
No matter what time my alarm goes off, I start every single morning the same way:
I thank God for another day
I ask Him to fill my head and heart with His peace, presence, and purpose
I take a few minutes to read my Bible and let the Word guide my thoughts
This part of my morning grounds me. It’s where I realign my heart and intentions before anything else—before the busyness, the workouts, the to-do lists. It’s my reset and recharge.
Wake Up + Refresh
After prayer and reading, I rinse my face to help shake off the sleepiness and bring some life into my skin. It’s a small habit that makes a big difference in how awake and alert I feel.
4:15 AM Work Day Routine (Salon Days)
On work days, I wake up at 4:15 AM, and here’s how it flows:
Brush my teeth
Drink my pre-workout
Hit the gym with my husband by 5 AM
We train until 6:30 AM—this is our time to push, connect, and get stronger together
Back home to get our kids ready for school
I quickly get ready for work
My husband and I handle drop-offs, and he takes me to the salon for the day
This rhythm gets my blood pumping, clears my mind, and sets the pace for a high-energy, high-focus day at the salon.
6:15 AM Off-Day Routine (Home Days)
On my off days, I sleep in a bit more—wake up at 6:15 AM—but the routine still includes:
Prayer and Bible time
Making breakfast for the kids
Getting them up and ready for school
Drop-offs
Then off to the gym with my husband for our morning session
These mornings are slower but still structured. They allow me to be fully present with my family while also pouring into my own physical and mental health.
Why This Routine Works for Me
Starting my day with faith, movement, and connection changes everything. I’m not just more productive—I’m more positive, more present, and more prepared to handle whatever comes my way.
When I skip my morning routine, I feel it. But when I lean into it? I’m energized, alert, and filled with gratitude for the life I get to live.
